Editor-in-Chief

Prof. Dr. Joseph Marianus Kujur, S.J. ([email protected]), Director and Professor of the Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi, is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal (JJDMS).

Prof. Kujur obtained his Ph.D. from Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University and Post-doctoral from Center of Latin American Studies (CLAS), Edmund Walsh School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University, Washington D.C. Dr. Kujur has 24 years of experience in teaching in various Institutes. He presented more than 20 papers in International seminar and more than 25 papers in National seminar. He published 8 books and more than 50 articles in National and International journals. He had conducted many regional, state and national workshops for Tribals, Dalits and Minorities in more than eight state of India. He was in the core group of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Ministry of Women & Child Development and also was a member of the sub-group of the Ministry of Minority Affairs to work on the recommendations for 12th Five Year Plan submitted to the Planning Commission (Now Niti Aayog) of India. He was also a member of the Working Group on “Empowerment of Scheduled Tribes (STs), in order to formulate the 12th Five Year Plan for the Social Justice and the Social Welfare Sector. He was one of the 14-members team known as ‘Sectoral Innovation Council’ constituted by Ministry of Tribal Affairs to prepare a roadmap for tribal development in the next 10 years. He was also one of the 13-members Expert Team constituted by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to prepare a roadmap for improvement of tribal health in India. He was one of the 8-members team constituted by Ministry of Rural Development to review the implementation of Rural Development programmes by the non-official members of the Advisory Committee on Tribal Development.

Prof. Dr. Anirudh Prasad ([email protected]), a Distinguished Social Scientist; Formerly: Professor of Rural Management & HOD (R&P) XISS, Ranchi; Chair Professor of Bharat Ratna JRD Tata Chair; SRF of the ICSSR (Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India), is the Founder Editor of the Journal (JJDMS) of XISS.

Professor Prasad obtained M. A. degrees in Economics and Sociology and Ph. D. from the Patna University, Patna. He taught in the Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi in the capacities of Professor in the department of Rural Management and HOD in Research & Publications. He was honoured with the prestigious post of the Bharat Ratna JRD Tata Chair Professor of Tata Steel. He also worked as Senior Research Fellow of the ICSSR (Ministry of HRD, Government of India) He has lectured at various universities and institutions outside India including the University of Gloucestershire (U.K); Buenos Aires (Argentina); and at the University of Alberta (Canada). The most popular books to his credit are ‘Alleviating Hunger’, ‘Social Research Methodologies in Action’ (in two volumes); ‘Beyond Business: Mapping the CSR and Sustainable Development Initiatives of Tata Steel’; and ‘Interrogating Social Capital: The Jharkhand Experience’.

Associate Editor

Prof. Dr. Shyamal Gomes ([email protected]), Professor and HOP in the Human Resource Management at XISS, Ranchi is the Associate Editor of the JJDMS.

The core teaching areas of Prof. Gomes are Strategic Management, Total Quality Management, Learning & Development and International Human Resource Management. He has published 21 articles in National and International Journals and 3 strategic management cases in association with Economic Times (2014). He was received ‘Rastriya Gourav Award’ from India Friendship Society, New Delhi.
