Second-year Marketing Management students toured various organizations as part of their industrial visit
Industrial visits are a key component of postgraduate courses, offering students valuable exposure to real-world business environments. These visits help bridge the gap between theory and practice, providing firsthand insights into how concepts learned in the classroom are applied in actual business operations. The main objective is to acquaint students with corporate culture and familiarize them with the business landscape, particularly in marketing and sales. Through direct interactions with professionals, students gain practical knowledge of marketing strategies, sales processes, and customer management, enhancing their understanding and preparing them for future careers.
Industrial Visit was conducted for the second-year students of Marketing Management from 23 September 2024 to 2 October 2024. The destinations visited by students this year were Pune/Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata. Dr Pinaki Ghosh, Dr Bhabani Prasad Mahapatra, and Dr Fedric Kujur were the Faculty In charge for Pune/Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata respectively.
The prominent organizations visited by the Program of Marketing Management across these three destinations were Samsung, Tata Motors, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Tata Mutual Fund, Tata Autocomp, Bajaj Finserv, SKF, Reliance Retail, Godrej and Boyce, Raymond, Alkem Laboratories, Sharekhan, ASK Investment, HSBC AMC, Ziptrrip, DSP Mutual Funds, Maruti Suzuki, Battery Smart, Schneider Electric, MRM Advertising, Good Year Tyres, Reliance Jio, Invest India, Spark Minda, McCann World Group, Mother Dairy, LG Electronics, Crayon Advertising, Hero Moto Corp, Groz Tools, ICICI Lombard GIC, Motilal Oswal, Adani Wilmar, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Rashmi Group, Flipkart, Axis Bank, ICICI Prudential AMC,HDFC Bank, ShipEasy, Damodar Valley Corporation, McNROE, Nuvoco, Now Purchase, Novesta Group, Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited, Berger Paints, Continental etc.
On the last day of the Industrial Visit, Alumni Meet was organized at Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata Chapters which was attended by the students. The Alumni Meet helped them to connect with the XISS alumni and learn from their experiences and Insights. Overall, the industrial visit was a transformative experience for the students that seamlessly blended academia with industry exposure.
