XISS & PFI organise Training of Digital Advocates for Adolescent Health Fellows

Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, in collaboration with the Population Foundation of India (PFI), organized a half-day refresher training programme for the Digital Advocates for Adolescent Health (DAAH) Fellows for the students of the Rural Management Programme. The session focused on adolescent reproductive and sexual health (ARSH), addressing both challenges and opportunities.

Dr Anant Kumar, Head, Rural Management Programme, welcomed the PFI team and emphasized the importance of developing skills in facilitating Focused Group Discussions (FGDs), which are crucial for students of Rural Management.

Dr Raj Shree Verma, set the context for the session by outlining its core objectives which are refreshing knowledge on ARSH and understanding the role of Adolescent Friendly Health Clinics.

Dr Gunjan Chandhok, Specialist, and Mr Souvik Bandhapadhyay, Sr Analyst – Youth and Adolescence, from PFI, led the session, discussing the significance of addressing ARSH and providing an orientation on assessing Adolescent Friendly Health Clinics and conducting FGDs. The training included a mock FGD session with active student participation.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the student representative, followed by high tea.
