AAXISS Mumbai Chapter successfully hosted Alumni Meet 2024
Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) and Alumni Association of XISS (AAXISS), Mumbai Chapter, successfully hosted the 'Alumni Meet 2024' on 28 September 2024 at Hotel Holiday Inn, Sakinaka Junction, Andheri East, Mumbai. The event themed "Celebrating Visionary Leadership and Excellence," brought together over 150 industry leaders, esteemed alumni, and current students for an evening of insightful discussions and networking. The AAXISS Alumni Meet Mumbai Chapter 2024 was made possible through the support of valued sponsors including PeopleMetrics, Vani, Sampson, JobsKart, Lmskart, Coca-Cola, Genstore, and Tikatha, among others.
The gathering was graced by two distinguished guests of honor- Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ, Director, XISS and Dr Pawan Kumar Singh, Director, IIM Trichy and an esteemed alumnus of XISS. The event followed a well-structured agenda, beginning with registrations and networking, followed by a welcome address, speeches by the guests of honor, and a felicitation ceremony.
The highlight of the evening was an insightful panel discussion on the topic "Role of Emotional Intelligence in Career Success" moderated by Ms Nidhi Arora, Lead HR at Akasa Air. The panel featured distinguished speakers including Mr Prashant Parashar, Principal Consultant at Potentia Growth, Ms Rashmi Jha, Co-Founder of Vani Coach and Chief Product Officer, Ms Sonali Majumdar, CHRO at Safari Industries and Mr Sandeep Rajan, CEO and Founder of Thomas Assessment. The discussion delved into the importance of emotional intelligence in navigating complex workplace dynamics, strategies for developing and applying emotional intelligence in professional settings, and real-world examples of how emotional intelligence contributes to career advancement and leadership success. The panelists also explored the role of emotional intelligence in team management and shaping organizational culture.
Throughout the event, attendees had ample opportunities to engage with speakers and fellow alumni.
