Background
Dr Atul holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Banaras Hindu University, and Masters in Economics from St. Xaviers College, Ranchi University. He completed his PhD in Economics from Central University of Jharkhand. The doctoral thesis focused on the implications of non-performing assets in the Indian Banking Sector. The doctoral work examined the trends, determinants, and macroeconomic impacts of NPAs using advanced econometric techniques, including panel regression, panel VAR models, macro stress testing, and data envelopment analysis.
Professional Experience
He has previously worked as Research Associate in ICSSR Sponsored Short Term Empirical Research Project, conducting primary data collection from beneficiaries of social security programme in rural Jharkhand. Documented personal interviews and compiled case studies for presenting a holistic view of the research findings. Further role included report writing, workshop organisation, and maintaining communication with government officials and programme stakeholders.
Achievements
During my time at Central University of Jharkhand, I was appointed as Campus Ambassador for promotion of voters for electoral literacy. In this capacity, I actively engaged students and faculty in promoting electoral participation and democratic awareness, strengthening my leadership, communication, and event coordination skills. This experience broadened my academic journey by combining civic responsibility with institutional representation.
