Udaan ’26 – Farewell Ceremony of Batch 2024–26 held

Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, hosted “Udaan ’26”, the farewell ceremony for the graduating batch of 2024–26, on campus on 31 March 2026. The event brought together students, faculty, and staff in a sincere celebration of achievements and shared memories.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Director, Assistant Director, Dean Academics and Heads of Programmes, invoking blessings for the graduating students.

In his address, Director, Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ, reflected on the students’ journey and encouraged them to carry the flame of XISS in their lives. He urged them to be guided by their conscience, wisdom, and stand for justice pf self-esteem and dignity and carry XISS wherever they go. He also presented a self-composed song, adding an emotional touch to the occasion. He reminded them to maintain balance, stay positive, and keep their inner spark alive through all phases of life.

Student representatives from Second Year Programmes of Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Rural Management, and Financial Management shared their experiences, reminiscing about academic learning, collaboration, and friendships. Students reminisced about their days on campus, the late-night case study preparations, coffee-fueled strategy sessions, and lifelong friendships forged in classrooms and corridors.

The event featured several cultural performances by first-year students, followed by foot tapping DJ night with DJ Rahul.
