XISS organise Certificate Distribution Ceremony for First Batch of Business Analytics for Managers Course

Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, successfully organised a certificate distribution ceremony for the first batch of its 6-Month Certificate Programme in Business Analytics for Managers, celebrating the accomplishments of 22 learners who have completed the rigorous programme in its campus on 24 April 2026.

Launched on 2 August 2025, the programme was designed to equip working professionals with cutting-edge skills in Analytics, Machine Learning, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python, and SPSS, conducted in a flexible weekend format, it combined academic depth with practical exposure, enabling participants to address real-world business challenges effectively.

Addressing the gathering, Director, XISS, Dr Jospeh Marianus Kujur SJ warmly congratulated the faculty and the students associated with this course for their perseverance. He said that the future is data-driven, where analytics, AI, ethics, and technology come together to solve real-world problems. After successfully completing this course, you are the problem solvers equipped with these tools. Continue growing, deepening your knowledge, and adapting to change. This journey will shape your careers and help you contribute meaningfully to society.

Recalling the beginning of this course, Dr Kujur said that this course began humbly but with a bold vision, to become a leading, sought-after center of excellence in business analytics. Soon, we aim to collaborate with industry leaders like IBM and KPMG, while bringing in experienced practitioners, engineers, and data scientists to enrich learning, he concluded.

The ceremony earlier began with a welcome note by the Course Coordinator, Dr Sharda Singh who reflected on the motive of this course which was to educate and train professionals, scholars, and students with nuances of data analytics and in domain-specific courses like, HR Analytics, Financial Analytics, and Marketing Analytics. She also shared that the next batch will begin from July 2026 and applications are open and are available on the institute’s website.

Later, Dean Academics, Dr Amar E. Tigga shared the importance of this course in real-life situations and mentioned that data analytics is not just for jobs, rather it is a way of thinking and solving real-world problems. He advised students to move beyond certificates and apply their learning to create value in business and everyday life and urged them to use their knowledge to build solutions, create opportunities, and improve society.

The event was also attended by Dr Pradeep Kerketta SJ, Heads of all programmes, Course teachers including Dr Fedric Kujur, Dr Manindra Rajak, Mr Prashant Jha, Mr Sourabh Sah along with Mr Akash, and Mr Aanish. Dr Fedric gave the vote of thanks to conclude the program.
